Miguel’s Story
Miguel Banuelos has nearly fifteen years of experience in the clean power sector. Miguel initially came to his job at Vestas U.S. in search of strong benefits to support his expanding family, but he quickly came to understand that this work was what he was intended to do.
Miguel seized the chance to join the shipping team when a position opened up, and he has remained there ever since. Miguel now works as a global safety trainer for new hires and oversees a group of eighteen heavy equipment and logistics operators when he isback at the factory in Windsor, Colorado. Today, he says that “if you want to know where American manufacturing is happening, it’s right here.”
Miguel feels honored to have "last eyes" on Vestas’ wind turbine blades before they are transported throughout the nation by trucks and trains. He considers himself fortunate to be able to do this work and thinks that as long as there is a demand, there will be more opportunities for him in the clean energy industry.
